1 Download all required files

Download the full 2026 patch package from the links in the video description or from RealMod. The package typically includes the option file, kitpack, facepack, and any additional graphic files. Save everything to one folder on your desktop so it is easy to find.

2 Install the Option File (squads and kits)

Extract the option file archive. Copy the EDIT00000000 file to your PES 2021 save folder:

Documents > KONAMI > eFootball PES 2021 > [your ID number] > save\

Always back up your existing EDIT file first. Replace when prompted. This updates all squads, player data, and basic kit assignments instantly.

3 Make sure Sider is running

Double-click sider.exe in your Sider folder before launching the game. Wait for the small Sider icon to appear in your system tray at the bottom-right of the taskbar. If you do not see it, right-click sider.exe and choose Run as Administrator.

4 Install the Kitpack

Extract the kitpack archive. Copy all numbered kit folders into your Sider kits folder:

Open sider.ini in Notepad and confirm the [kserv] section has enabled = 1. Save and close.

5 Install the Facepack (skip if low RAM)

Extract the facepack archive. Copy all extracted face folders into:

sider\content\livecpk-faces\

Create this folder if it does not exist. The facepack is large — if your laptop has only 4GB RAM and the game becomes slow after installing faces, remove them and use the option file and kitpack only.

6 Launch Sider then start PES 2021

Always run sider.exe first. Then launch PES 2021 from Steam or your desktop shortcut. Go to Edit Mode and check a major team — if you see 2025-2026 kits and updated players, the patch is working correctly.

7 Adjust graphics settings for your PC

If the game runs slowly after installing the patch, go to PES 2021 Display Settings and reduce:

Open sider.ini in Notepad and confirm the [kserv] section shows enabled = 1. Also make sure Sider was already running before you launched PES 2021. Close the game, restart Sider, then relaunch the game.

Player faces are showing the old default faces

Confirm your facepack files are inside sider\content\livecpk-faces\ and that Sider was running before launching. Also check that livecpk.enabled = 1 is set in sider.ini. If both are correct, try pressing Spacebar in-game which reloads Sider content.

Game is very slow or lagging after patch install

Lower your graphics settings as described in Step 7. If still slow, remove the facepack from the livecpk-faces folder — large facepacks require significant memory. The option file and kitpack will still work and give you updated squads and kits without the performance cost.

Option file not saving — squads reset after restarting game

You placed the EDIT00000000 file in the wrong folder. Navigate to Documents > KONAMI > eFootball PES 2021 and you will see a numbered folder (your account ID). The EDIT file must go inside that numbered folder under the save subfolder — not in the root KONAMI folder.

• Close all other apps and browser tabs before launching PES 2021
