How to Install Sider, Kit Server and LiveCPK Faces for PES 2021 (2024-2025 Season)
What Are These Three Tools?
Before installing anything, it helps to understand what each tool does and why all three are needed together.
Sider is the core tool — a mod loader that runs alongside PES 2021 and loads custom content in real time without modifying the game's original files. Think of it as the engine that powers everything else. Without Sider running, no mods load at all.
Kit Server handles kit loading specifically. It intercepts the game's request to load a team's kit and substitutes it with an updated version from your mods folder. Modern versions of Sider (6.x and above) include Kit Server functionality built in, so you do not need to install it separately — but you do need to configure it correctly in sider.ini.
LiveCPK Faces is a collection of real photo-realistic player face files that Sider loads dynamically during matches. Instead of seeing the game's default generic or low-quality faces for players, you see accurate representations of real footballers. The 2024-2025 facepack covers thousands of players across all major leagues.
This guide is tested and confirmed working with PES 2021 version 1.07.02, Data Pack 7.0, and Smoke Patch 21 V4.5. If you are on a different version, the steps are the same but some file paths may differ slightly.
What You Need Before Starting
- PES 2021 installed (version 1.07.02 recommended)
- Smoke Patch 21 V4.5 already installed
- WinRAR or 7-Zip for extracting files
- At least 5 GB of free storage for the facepack
- The three download files linked at the bottom of this post
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
1 Download all three files
Download Sider, Kit Server for SP21, and the LiveCPK facepack using the links at the bottom of this post. Save all three archives to a folder on your desktop or downloads folder so they are easy to find.
2 Extract and install Sider
Right-click the Sider archive and extract it. Move the extracted Sider folder into your PES 2021 installation directory. The correct path is usually:
Your Sider folder should sit alongside pes2021.exe inside the game folder. This is important — if Sider is in a different location, the exe.path setting in sider.ini will need to be updated manually.
3 Configure sider.ini
Open the sider.ini file inside your Sider folder using Notepad. Find and confirm these key settings are correct:
Also find the Kit Server section and make sure it is enabled:
Save the file when done.
4 Install Kit Server files
Extract the Kit Server SP21 archive. Inside you will find kit files organised by team. Copy them into the Sider kits folder:
If this folder does not exist, create it. The kit files should be inside numbered folders corresponding to team IDs.
5 Install LiveCPK Facepack
Extract the facepack archive. This will take a few minutes as the files are large. Copy all the extracted face folders into:
Again, create this folder if it does not exist. The face files are named with player ID numbers and should not be renamed.
6 Launch Sider then start PES 2021
Double-click sider.exe. A small window will open briefly then minimise to your system tray. You will see the Sider icon in the bottom-right corner of your taskbar. Now launch PES 2021 as normal through Steam or your desktop shortcut. Sider will automatically hook into the game and load your kits and faces.
